2 Year Health Guarantee

Breeder guarantees this puppy will arrive home with you in good health and to the best of knowledge, free from any genetic defects at the time of purchase.

A warranty against genetic defects is provided for two years after the date of sale. Cumulative reimbursement is limited to 50% of the purchase price. Genetic defects that qualify for reimbursement are those related to hip, heart, elbow, patella, eye or life- threatening issues. Reimbursement for genetic defects will be made only when a written second opinion from a qualified veterinarian and proof of surgery expenses are provided. An official OFA assessment will also qualify as a second opinion. Umbilical hernia repairs will be reimbursed up to $200.

In the rare case of death caused by a genetic condition, the puppy will be replaced free of charge if under 2 years of age. A necropsy report completed by a qualified vet must show the cause if death was a genetic issue. This guarantee is void in the event of an indeterminable or inconclusive diagnosis.

Health Guarantee Limitations

This Health Guarantee does not cover health issues that cannot be proven to be specifically inherited. These include, but are not limited to: all types of cancer, viral illnesses, internal or external parasites, (endoparasites) bacterial infections, fungal infections, food or skin allergies, improper bites, base narrow canines, retained deciduous teeth, gastrointestinal or digestive issues, protozoal diseases like giardia, coccidia, urinary tract infections, endocrine issues, hypoglycemia, reactions to vaccines (e.g., leptospirosis), reactions to medications such as Bravecto, and ear or eye infections.

This Health Guarantee does not cover illnesses due to ingestion of foreign objects, food, chemicals, stress related issues, behavioural issues, physical injuries and/or illnesses which may have occurred during or after transport to the Buyer.

The Breeder is not responsible for any injuries sustained, resulting in death after transfer of the ownership to Buyer.

This puppy is, to the best of our knowledge, in good health at the time of sale. Buyer will be made aware of any current or previous treatments prior to sale.

Guarantees shall only apply to the original purchaser. Transfer of dog ownership shall void all such provisions of this agreement.

Seller makes no guarantee this dog will not shed or cause an allergic reaction. Buyer understands that sellers prediction of coat type, height and weight at adulthood are estimates only.

The Breeder is not responsible for veterinary expenses incurred after purchase, nor any shipping or transportation expenses.

Vaccinations

Breeder guarantees that this puppy at the time of purchase has received at least one set of the core canine vaccines.

Buyer will be provided with a vaccination record and any additional medical records at the time of purchase. Vaccines set forth by our local veterinarian which include: Canine Distemper Virus, Canine Adenovirus Type 2, Canine Parvovirus (modified live viruses); and Parainfluenza, (DAPP) or the 3 in 1 DAP which doesn’t include parainfluenza.

It is recommended that puppies visit the vet at 12 weeks and follow the vaccination schedule outlined by the buyer’s vet. The buyer’s vet will discuss risks in the buyer’s area and may advise additional preventative vaccines.

Deworming

Breeder’s deworming protocol is as follows: 2, 4, 6 and 8 weeks for roundworms and hookworms (Nemex-2). Dams are also dewormed prior to whelping.

NOTE: Although the puppies and other dogs on the property have been appropriately treated for parasites, these can be easily picked up from any environment including: dogs that have been treated, sniffing other animals and/or the hands of adults and children, drinking standing water, dirt in a fenced back yard (as wild animals carry these parasites), etc. Puppies are particularly susceptible to contracting parasites therefore most vets will recommend an initial fecal sample at your first visit.

After purchase, the buyer is responsible for all puppy medical expenses associated with the treatment of intestinal parasites.

Microchipping

Ganaraska Doodle puppies have been microchipped and pre-registered with a lifetime membership by the internationally acclaimed pet finding service 24PetWatch. New puppy owners must contact this organization and provide up-to-date contact information to activate the service. Activation has been prepaid by Ganaraska Doodles.

Early Socialization of Puppies

Breeder has carefully practiced Puppy Culture Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) on the puppy. Breeder guarantees this puppy was born in our home and has been exposed to all the sights and sounds of a busy family household the entire time they have been in our care. They have been:

  1. Appropriately handled and loved by all ages of humans;

  2. exposed to other dogs of different sizes and ages: and

  3. been raised with full access to their mother and littermates.

Once this puppy leaves the breeder it will be up to the buyer to continue the socialization process. The buyer agrees to start their obedience training and continue with their house training. Goldendoodles, like all dogs, learn best with positive reinforcement.

Breeder makes no guarantees or promises to how this puppy will continue to develop once they leave our care. Breeder has no control regarding how this puppy is raised, socialised or trained by the buyer.

Responsibility of Buyer

Buyer agrees to maintain this dog in good health, provide preventative healthcare including, but not limited to, inoculation, internal parasites, and heart worm and flea and tick preventative medication.

It is agreed that your Goldendoodle will be housed indoors and fed quality food. It is also agreed that you will maintain the dog at a healthy weight.

Buyer agrees to postpone strenuous, repetitive exercise (such as agility training and distance running) until a minimum of one year of age.

Buyer agrees to provide basic obedience training within the first year of ownership.

Buyer acknowledges and agrees to routine maintenance and grooming of the dog. This includes (not limited to) responsibilities related to routine oral hygiene and coat, ear and nail management.

Buyer agrees to follow veterinarian schedule of vaccinations and wellness checkups. Buyer agrees to not leave dog alone for periods greater than 3 hours at a time.

Buyer agrees to contact breeder immediately if the buyer determines they are unable to keep their puppy/dog for any reason. In this case, no refund will be given. Instead, all surrendered dogs will become the property of the breeder and be re-homed in vetted, loving homes at no cost to the new owner.

I WILL ALWAYS TAKE ONE OF MY PUPPIES/DOGS BACK IF THE BUYER/OWNER BECOMES INCAPABLE OF CARING FOR A GANARASKA DOODLE.

Ganaraska Doodle puppy/dog buyers agree to never place the puppy/dog with a rescue group, shelter, pound, or similar facility.

Since it is impossible to predict the development of any puppy, there are no other warranties or guarantees, either written or implied.
This guarantee is offered to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.

I have read and understand the stipulations of the contract and voluntarily agree to all elements, stipulations and provisions herein.

Spay and Neuter Contract

The buyer agrees to spay/neuter this puppy before 15 months of age. Proof of the spay or neuter operation in the form of documentation must be provided to the breeder with the veterinarian’s letterhead and contact information included. Breeder may request to contact the buyer’s veterinarian to confirm the operation was completed. Buyer agrees to grant permission to release this information to breeder.

Buyer affirms this puppy is intended to be a pet only and they have no plans or intention of breeding this puppy in the future.

The puppy is to be kept safe from breeding until surgery of spay or neuter is completed. If this purchased puppy is not spayed or neutered by the requested time (without Breeder’s consent) and documented proof is not provided of the spay or neuter operation, breeder will be entitled to be compensated for a breach of contract and the full price of a “ Breeding Quality Puppy” will be immediately due which is an additional $10,000.00.

If a litter is produced the buyer agrees to pay the breeder an additional $1500.00 per puppy from the whelping. Breeder is not responsible for the expenses related to the whelping. All puppies produced from a litter would also have to be sold with the same terms of this spay and neuter contract. None of the puppies may be sold or kept by the buyer as future breeding dogs.

This puppy’s Genetic and Health guarantee would become null and void if the Spay/ Neuter contract is violated.

This Spay/Neuter contract is meant to protect our puppies as well as the integrity and reputation of my dog breeding program. Breeding dogs maintain a significantly higher monetary value than pets.

THIS PUPPY IS NOT SOLD AS A BREEDING DOG

I have read and understand the stipulations of the contract and voluntarily agree to all elements, stipulations and provisions herein.
